Street food from Chengdu
In the early 20th century Chengdu dismantled its old city walls, and the neighborhoods that grew in their place were laced with narrow pathways — alleys. Out of them came "alley culture": neighbors unwinding after work, talking, eating street food together. At its heart is Sichuan cooking, celebrated for its bold flavors — mala, aromatic, sweet and sour. At Sichuan Alley we recreate that setting with bamboo chairs, rattan cabinets and rustic barn tables. Start with a bowl of rice noodles, and taste the alley for yourself.
